The CanAmerican Flute Symposium was established to unify and inspire flute communities across Canada and America.

Susan Hoeppner and Jeffery Zook, Guest Artists

This symposium, running August 5-8, 2021, will include masterclass opportunities with Susan Hoeppner and Jeffery Zook, a series of workshops from Haynes University, daily warm-up sessions, artist recitals, and a final performance in the CanAmerican Virtual Recital Hall. Performer spots will be limited to 10. Apply in advance by June 30, 2021 to receive a $20 tuition discount for accepted performers. Final deadline is July 12, 2021 to be considered as a performer for the symposium. Results will be emailed to performer applicants by July 19, 2021. Application is free and requires a video of you playing a solo flute piece of your choice. Scholarships are available!

The CanAmerican Flute Symposium Young Artist Competition is open to all ages and ability levels. Sponsored by Wm. S. Haynes Co., Flute Specialists Inc., and Long & McQuade Musical Instruments, first prize is awarded a Handmade Silver Haynes Headjoint. Cash prizes are also available.
